While not for the faint of heart, I found myself reeling by the time I made it to the end of the story. While I would have enjoyed seeing more in-depth looks at the characters you are introduced to, as well as more background on the full scope of the world that you find yourself in, I was pleasantly surprised by the emotions that the author was able to evoke in the scenes described in this book. Filled with scene of action, lusty sex, violence, and power I can tell you truthfully that this is one book that will leave you equally flabbergasted, distraught, hungry, and intrigued for more by its end. Told from a rather unique perspective, this novel is a page turner that will leave you gasping for more. This is book is a fast paced ride into the debauchery of souls and the consequences of the actions that so many people take part in. Lachelle Redd gives a new twist to the typical war between heaven and hell with a far more visceral setting than one would be used to.
